Biterunner offers beginner schedules for all distances. If you have no experience at all and like to start we offer the walk to run program. The other beginner programs don’t have a specific focus on time but on the ability to run the selected distance at an easy pace. The 5k and 10k programs take 8 weeks and the 1o miles and half marathon take 12 weeks to finish. you will train 3 times a week and for the half marathon 4 times a week. If you want to go for 10 miles or the half marathon you should be able to do 5k/10k easily and have at least several months of experience with running.
Beginner 5K: This 8-week program is for beginner runners. The schedule focuses on the ability to run 5km comfortably at an easy pace. It’s a simple, progressive program that begins with walking and running and evolves into more running. The schedule consists of 3 running exercises and 1 fitness exercise per week.
Beginner 10k: This 8-week program is for beginner runners. The schedule focuses on the ability to run 10km comfortably at an easy pace. If you can do 5km in 40 minutes or less, this is the plan for you. The schedule involves 3 running exercises and 1 fitness exercise per week.
Beginner 10-mile: This 12-week training plan is created for the beginner to intermediate runner that can do the 5k easily and has at least 6 months of experience with running. The schedule involves 3 training sessions per week and has no specific focus on time.
Beginner half marathon: This 12-week training plan is created for the beginner to intermediate runner that can do the 5k easily and has at least 6 months of experience with running. The schedule involves 3 training sessions per week and has no specific focus on time.
